Everyone has been given a passion for some area of ministry and mine is Prayer. It is my source of strength and encouragement, I want to encourage each of you to begin a prayer life. Don't ever worry that you don't know what to say. God knows your heart and it blesses Him when His children enter into His presence through prayer.
One of the simplest, and in my opinion a very good method, is the "ACTS" method. I will explain.
"A" = ADORATION ---Spend time first just telling God how much you adore Him. Thank Him for being omnipotent, (all powerful), omniscient, (all knowing), omnipresent, (present everywhere). Tell Him what a magnificent creator He is. He is your best friend, so just dwell on Him and His glory.
"C" = CONFESSION -- Confess your sins to God. Be specific and not general. Tell Him exactly what your sin was. Confession is agreeing with God that you have broken His commandments and broken fellowship with Him.
"T" = THANKSGIVING -- Thank Him for all His marvelous provision, protection & blessings He has poured into your life. Always remember how very much He loves you. He has YOUR name inscribed on His nail scared hands, and He loved you before your were even born. His love is steadfast & unchanging.
"S" = SUPPLICATION --Tell God what you need or where you are hurting. Tell Him the needs and requests of your friends and family. There is no greater blessing than to take those you love before the throne of grace. God know exactly what their need is and He is already designing a perfect answer. Always ask in prayer believing and ask Him for His perfect will when you are interceding for yourself or for someone else.
Notice that supplication is at the end of the list. Sometimes we rush into telling him all our needs before we have spent time thanking and praising Him for who He is and just adoring Him. Remember that He calls His children into His presence each and every day, so don't miss this most important, "Divine appointment". In His presence is fullness of joy!
Please know that I am praying for you!
In His love,--
