Professional Christian Counseling

All of us, from time to time, face challenges that threaten our security and exhaust our emotional and spiritual strength. It is not God’s design that we struggle through these difficult times alone – help is available.
  • Marriage Counseling
  • Pre-marriage Preparation
  • Family Counseling
  • Parenting Training
  • Personal Issues
  • Emotional Distress
Philosophy Counseling is done from a biblical perspective consistent with a Christian world view. Counseling will involve an exploration of thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and expectations that affect choices and behavior. The goal of Christian counseling is to help you grow toward maturity in Christ by giving you the opportunity to work through personal issues and relational problems that could hinder that growth.

Counselor: Background Beverly Chesnut, LMHC, the Director of Counseling, received her B.A. in Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic College, M.A. in Religious Education, and M.A. in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, MH 5720. Beverly is married to Steve and they have four adult children.

Confidentiality: All counseling is completely confidential. To protect your privacy, a separate number is used in making appointments. Leave your name and call back number. Your counselor will call you promptly to schedule a time that is convenient for you. Call 239.418.0369

Fees: A sliding fee scale has been established based on household income to insure that all can receive the help they need. Member fee is $50 with a sliding scale to $20. Non-member fee is $75 with a sliding scale to $40.

Your Journey from Mourning to Joy
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4

God’s Word calls on us to bear one another’s burdens. Grief Share is the comfort ministry of McGregor Baptist Church, designed to help those who have lost someone they love. This recovery support group is intended to help the person who is hurting and lonely following the death of a spouse, child, other family or friend. It is sponsored by those who understand the depth of pain felt when we lose someone close.
Sunday afternoons at 12:30 PM in Faith Building Room 111. Call Krisztina at 689-2558 for dates of this program.
